Memory Foam Tips

Beat the Bed Bugs with Memory Foam

So you have heard the saying 'do not let the bed bugs bite' well I strongly recommend that this is a slogan for memory foam, as I am very pleased to say that this is one memory foam benefit that can definitely be guaranteed.

Over the years people are becoming more concerned about dust mites and trying to find different ways to ward them off. We all know that the horrible miniscule mites are feeding of organic fibers and yes the dreaded dead skin that we produce from our bodies. If you thought a memory foam benefit would not ward off the little mites then you will be proved wrong.

Though we know that dust mites do not have much of an affect on us as humans other than being rather creepy, they can have an affect if you suffer with Asthma or allergies and so you could have just found another great answer to assist you.

These little mites are not able to exist for a long time in memory foam due to the high dense material used, there is just not enough for them to feed off in order to set up home long term. This is great news for the sufferers of Asthma and the like but also for those that just want to ward off dust mites.

Manufacturers of memory foam certainly understand what a customer requires and this is one guarantee they can offer you when you purchase memory foam, for myself this is but another memory foam benefit that I will certainly be taking advantage off.

5 out of 5 stars The best type of mattress on the market   April 27, 2009

I found this mattress for my mother. The mattress is identical to more expensive memory foam beds and it is at a great price. These are simply the most comfortable type of beds that are sold. After purchasing it, I bought a memory foam topper for my own spring bed; memory foam is so much better than spring mattresses.

As far as the smell goes, the bed that we received had absolutely no smell whatsoever. Not even a faint odor.

5 out of 5 stars I will never go back to spring mattresses   February 12, 2009

After years on spring mattresses, individually wrapped coil mattresses, plush pillow tops, etc & never being totally satisfied, I decided to hop on the memory foam wagon. I was skeptical at first, so I researched the Foamex Company & found nothing but stellar reviews for their products. And they're eco-friendly, such a big plus. After about a month of using this mattress, I just love it & am so happy with it. It's incredibly comfortable & supportive (& affordable!). I cannot recommend this product enough & plan on buying more from the Foamex Company, eventually upgrading to a thicker mattress. Sleep well.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible chemical smell--not "eco-friendly" at all   January 2, 2010

We purchased this and aired it out for a week, then placed it on our bed to try it out. However, the smell was still so toxic that within minutes we had terrible headaches and felt nauseous. We immediately removed it and dragged it to another room (it's heavy, and you need two people to move a queen sized one). But our bedding and mattress were completely overtaken by the smell as well, even with the limited exposure. Now we're washing all of the bedding and airing out the regular mattress to get rid of the smell. How can people tolerate sleeping on this thing? We're returning it.

3 out of 5 stars Good bed, BUT   December 15, 2009

Product was delivered ahead of schedule. Reviews warned of the odor from the foam material but should had dissipated within a week. I left the mattress out for a week, but the odor still lingers to this date. Still the mattress is very comfortable. If I bought another I would let it air out alot longer.
